oh boy!

The following card is inspired by Tami's amazing card here. (Please excuse my horrible camera skills.)

Masculine cards have always been a challenge for me.  I was never content with what I made.  So when I first saw Tami's card, I knew I had to try something like that. I love the distressed background and the color scheme. Since it's one of my male cousin's upcoming birthday, I thought it was the perfect opportunity.  In less than fifteen minutes, my card was done and I love the end result. Who'd a thunk it would be this simple to make masculine cards. Thank you, Tami, soo much for inspiring me :)

orange you feelin' crafty

Hi. I'm Nona, and I love immersing myself in all things papercrafting. It helps keep me centered in an otherwise chaotic life. I also enjoy dabbling with other artsy projects. Anything to get my creative juices flowing. But it was only until recently that I've grown a fascination to stamping. Over the past months, I've stumbled upon countless of uber-talented crafters who have inspired me to explore and grow by reading their blog/site or watching their video tutorials. Having said that, I created this little blog so I can share my passion in the hope that I will be able to inspire someone else in return.

Joy, a wonderfully talented crafter whose blog I love to follow for inspiration, is hosting her first challenge on honouring someone in the crafty world who has inspired you. And how better to end my first post then by taking this opportunity to give my thanks to one of the many talented who continuously inspire me.  I created the following card honouring Beate. She's an amazingly impressive crafter whom I admire for her ability to compile various elements together and be in complete harmony with each other. Her creations never cease to amaze me.  Thank you, Beate, for your endless inspiration :)

Quick note: The Monarch Butterfly is an image printed and cut out from here.

I am also submitting this card in CropStop's Challenge #11 and ABC DT Birthday Challenge.
